The server is not a democracy and no actual staff have weighed in on the proposal, the votes are not a reflection of what the staff will actually decide regardless of which side is in the majority.
This petition is highly suggestive, don't let you confuse yourself by this and by the players forcing it!
Proclamation
“We the people of this server, as part of the active community make a demand to ask the administrator to please give us a new map in order to follow the long standing tradition of renewing maps in this server. We're willing to accept any solution in which we get a new map, whereas entirely or through some sort of multiversing which could preserve the current map for those who are emotionally attached to it.
