Alpha has stated that a random new seed will be picked for the new map in 1.8. This means we will not be able to plan nor bring over Kurwa's wealth. We will be starting from scratch. When we arrive, we will split into small scouting parties of 2 or 3. Obviously we'll want to make some stone swords at the spawn and grab some wood for the journey. The team that finds the most suitable spot for Nova Kurwa will receive a diamond block from the Kurwan coffers (once they are replenished).

• Near a water feature, ideally a river and ideally on a peninsula [Importance: Very High]
• Large, flat area for expansion [Importance: Very High]
• Interesting surrounding landscape (mountains, etc.), possible future natural borders like Kurwa Province has (leave enough lebensraum) [Importance: High]
• Built on the ashes and of the skulls of an NPC village [Importance: High]
• Close (but not next to) a ruin or river or ravine to set the stage for dramatic battles with Novobattkhortsk [Importance: Moderate]

The first building will be an outpost/mine. We will construct a small, cobble wall around the immediate area, light it up with torches, dig down into cover, and place a bunch of beds. A small tower will be constructed nearby as a beacon and an outpost. Soon a wheat farm will be created to maintain food supplies. This shouldn't be difficult and will buy us time to gather resources.

When the server launches we'll all look around for a good spot together or in small scouting parties. We're on our own, boys. It's up to us.
