SERVER IS UPDATED. Temporary foothold is a large NPC village at about x700, z850. Establish yourselves there and we will scout the surrounding area more thoroughly. It is possible we will claim the plains area directly east of the village, but more exploration is necessary. V1adimirr found a shit ton of iron and gold so we're set for a while, just focus on exploring and gathering wood/cobble for now.

• Near a water feature, ideally a river and ideally on a peninsula [Importance: Very High]
• Large, flat area for expansion [Importance: Very High]
• Interesting surrounding landscape (mountains, etc.), possible future natural borders like Kurwa Province has (leave enough lebensraum) [Importance: High]
• Built on the ashes and of the skulls of an NPC village [Importance: High]
• Close (but not next to) a ruin or river or ravine to set the stage for dramatic battles with Novobattkhortsk [Importance: Moderate]

Stay protected in the village until we find a more suitable place. We will gather all the materials we will need from the village and then move to the new site where we'll build a wall, town hall, etc.
